@chad I'm an old guy. I've been wearing watches most of my life. I shift mine up and down my arm according to need and shifting comfort requirements. Wear it where it works :)

Simple line art cartoon. Large hand holds a small green frog, while another large hand points finger at the frog.

Text: "DISABLE YOUR AD BLOCKER TO VIEW THIS SITE".

Small frog says: "No."

@Anarcat Ah bon, désolé. Alors, tu n'es pas mon seul influenceur à cet égard :)

Reminder, re: Debian & Stuff
@Debian #Debian & Stuff, a meeting of Quebec Debian contributors, is this Sunday

"whats your biggest weakness?"

"understanding the semantics of a question but ignoring the pragmatics"

"could you give an me an example?"

"yes i could"

White cargo trailer with a message that reads "THIS CONTAINER TRANSPORTS A DISEASE WHICH HAS NO CURE."

DDos (Distributed Denial of Service) attack against BlueSky a few days ago: The whole network goes down.

DDoS against mastodon.social today: Lots of users on that instance impacted, the rest of the Fediverse keeps on running, my instance doesn't really notice, messages will be queued up until mastodon.social is reachable again.

Both networks claim to be decentralised and federated. You decide :)

After just having responded to the third security report for the evening I noticed a post that cheered me up...

Have a good Friday everyone!

Millions of people look up to Steve Jobs and Bill Gates.
My role model is Daniel Stenberg. You've never heard of him.
His code runs on 10 billion devices, including the one you're reading this post on.

He started building cURL in 1996. It handles data transfer on nearly every phone, console, smart TV, 47 car brands, and it was on the Mars helicopter.

He's also the person who's kept it going for nearly 30 years.

@highvoltage That's Céline. She's cheesy and corny in an innocent, sentimental way :)

If I were a citizen of the USPA (United States of Part of America), I'd be talking to my Congressional Rep about this Section 702 thing.

@petersuber Go on a payment strike for a few months but instead of saying your withholding payment in protest say you're performing an "attitude improvement" exercise or providing "valuable customer feedback"...

GrapheneOS
Oh, and let me say I am eagerly awaiting 2027 when the fruits of the recent partnership between @GrapheneOS and #Motorola are expected to hit the market. It will be good to have more phones upon which #GrapheneOS can be installed

GrapheneOS
I've been using @GrapheneOS for several months, now. I couldn't be happier. I had been using @calyxos. But, when I got a new phone I decided to try GOS. What luck! Shortly after I put #GrapheneOS on my Pixel 8 there was a staff melt down at #CalyxOS that disrupted the COS production. So I would have been stuck without upgrades. But, I have to say that I prefer the way GOS does privacy/security, anyway. And GOS support is more helpful. Go Go #GOS!!

My therapist said I need to find things to keep me busy, so I created the @cdnspace Artemis II dashboard.

I reverse-engineered the Unity Engine powering the NASA AROW visualization and found an absolute treasure trove of data to display.

Little did I expect that it's now being seen by anywhere from 200 to 600 people at any given time with 130,000 people having looked at it in the last 24 hours. People are even building projects around my API.

Yesterday, I received a message on LinkedIn from someone working in Mission Control in Houston... and they're using my dashboard! He even sent me a photo, but I can't share it until after the crew has splashed down.

Mind blown, and an absolute pick-me-up. The best part? It's being served from my basement.

Debian & Stuff
The next #Debian & Stuff meeting of the @Debian Québec group is taking place on Sunday 26 April 2026 at La Balise in the Rosemont-Petite-Patrie neighbourhood of #Montreal. See the details here: https://agendadulibre.qc.ca/events/2886

Come work on some Debian project or just to hang around with Debian people working on their projects. All are welcome. Français and English spoken

It's been a few years since I drew this. I still stand by it.

Art nouveau-esque style drawing with pastel colors, showing a woman in flowy dress with pink hair holding a sign "Hands off our work" and a "AI forbidden"-sign, decorated with oleanders (pink poisonous flowers). Bottom says "support human artists".

Very lengthy/vertical image, extended to the sides with close ups for better formatting/thumbnail

@dannycolin @aki I haven't (and don't intend to) expanded this thread to see what you're replying to. Don't need to. It's funny even just guessing context :)
