@jmtd I am a big nintendo fan and they are really good at casual games.
Either wait for their new models (to be released in 2 months) or buy their old one (possibly refurbished and at a lower price).
EDIT: fix phone predictive input typos.
@jmtd
given that you say you don't currently play games. i might install steam and browse the catalog, or try a few on a pc, to see if you enjoy it before investing in a deck. imo.
@jmtd Biased answer: get involved in #mgmtconfig ... We'd love to have you!
Although outdoors and exercise habits are probably the better objective answer.
Perhaps I should go down the management route at work
Oh my! Is that a finely veiled cry for help? Are things going that bad?? Jon you know you can talk to us, right? 😛 😛 😛
@jmtd Well, that was just a cheap dig at the very fine and noble managerial profession, as you no doubt figured, but yeah, jokes aside; with things as they are right now, I certainly understand where you're coming from...
Also eight years is indeed a long time, so you're definitely entitled to some amount of soul searching!
Hmm... Does this mean we'll have to call you Doctor Jon? That's pretty coo! 😄
@jmtd yeah, absolutely too bulky for couch enjoyment. from what i've seen, the steam deck is really nice and can run /most/ games, even if you need the proton compatibility layer. good luck!
@jmtd *sigh*.
@jmtd completely agreed
@jmtd which synth did you buy? A new synth has been on my wish list for a long while but I barely touch my old one already so 🤷
@jmtd I’m thinking about getting the Arturia Minifreak… nice thing it’s a local company, their headquarters is less than 10 kilometers from where I live!
@highvoltage @jmtd
There are a few options available:
* just disable auto connect to wifi and done forever (for downloaded system updates it might still bug you until you upgrade)
* or your can say 'not now' every time (but this is more of a hassle) to get the game started immediately
