My toolbox is overflowing, not with tools, but with screws, nails, nuts, rawl plugs, etc.: where do you keep those things? How do you organise them?

@jmtd another toolbox. Multiple other toolboxes. I get new toolboxes whenever the ratio of DIY detritus to actual tools exceeds 0.45.

@jmtd Component boxes with small compartments.

@jmtd the plastic boxes that things like washing pods come in are very good for things. Or just storage boxes from ikea or b&m

@jmtd I’ve a few Stanley compartment boxes, often on sale at screwfix etc. one for “pointy bois” and one for “twisty bois”.

@jmtd install fonts-schraubenkiste from #Debian, print some screw labels, and then attach lables to a screw box (ideally one with a lot of drawers). That's how I organize mine.

@jmtd I use a screw storage box with varying compartment sizes, and to avoid having to rummage through all the boxes I tape a sample outside each one (unless there’s an obvious screw spec, in which case I label it instead).
