I ran out of network plugs, so wanted to order a new batch. I see now in my order history that I accidentally got two in quantity rather than 1.

Surprisingly though they're very different, the two of them.

Ah well, I'm sure they'll both work. Any network to be done soon, @highvoltage ? If so I'm happy to come help 😂
a cylindrical pack of 100 CAT5 UTP connectors, and a second rectangular pack of what is described as 'CAT5E RJ45'

@wouter @highvoltage don't use these! They are really responsible for so many network issues. Learn to crimp the female connectors instead. I can show you if you want.

@purpleidea
Female connectors? Never heard of them.

Also, what network issues? Yes you need to know how to use them, but I do and have never had issues with my own work 😉
@highvoltage

@wouter @purpleidea Heh I've had that argument with purpleidea before too. My crimping is also fine and I've never had issues with my own cables (I've probably crimped over a 1000 points so far). I actually have some cabling to do at home but it involves some boring work that I'm not in the mood for (like drilling etc).
