pleroma.debian.social

Now I am (semi) seriously considering to start Debian GNU/NetBSD, just out of spite. Would've never guessed it'd come to this.

@werdahias as I said as joke today, Debian Kfreebsd needs to be brought back (apparently freebsd doesn't have an anti ai policy though, so netbsd it is)

@disaster2life Until trixie releases I have another project I want to prioritize; if at least 4 other interested people show up I'd be on board.

@martin @disaster2life ah, yeah, Forky ofc.

@werdahias@pleroma.debian.social @disaster2life@pleroma.debian.social I also often mix up codenames. I can't tell the order of bookworm, buster and bullseye anymore. 😂

@werdahias I have heard from some that they find NetBSD attractive because of the same reasons but find it less polished on desktops and laptops, so any extra help (like a distro using it) would be appreciated I'm sure!

I say this as someone who likes the idea of the defunct kFreeBSD

@martin @werdahias @disaster2life that *one* thing Ubuntu does better ... I don't remember the codenames either so I just do alphabetical sort in my head and count back

I had a conversation with an upstream wanting to test one of my Debusine repos and it turns out upstream was on old-stable instead of stable...

@michel_slm I now have a rough outline of how to go about things but will need to look info getting two machines for that purpose
