@obsolete29 the admin is on the fediverse. Maybe they can help you? cc: @daniel

@zornsllama Also, on smaller instances, the federated timeline is slower and has stuff that people on your instance are interested in. I like the "curated" federated timeline on smaller instances.

This graph of mastodon usage.....Whats this massive new wave?!?!

pleroma help
I have my website in my bio, does anyone know how to get the green checkmark verified like one would on mastodon?

Favourite or repeat this if you're a Debian Developer, contributor or user and want to make it easier for others to find you.

@timb_machine You can request a fedi account at debian.social . By the way, debian.social isnt only restricted to debian devs although alot of debian devs are here. Im not a debian dev but I like the debian community, pleroma, and trust debian's moderation.

Where do people go from Twitter

I know I am, literally, preaching to the converted here, but heard a BBC radio journalist this lunchtime saying how sad she was that Twitter was going downhill and she would have to switch to Instagram, i.e leave the domain of Lord Musk, for Lord Zuckenberg. No thought of the Fediverse. Some people are determined to live in a Feudal Internet.

@proycon Yup! Thats one of the reasons I bought it. I cant wait to install postmarketos, use kicad, use openscad, and everything! The kernel code is being merged upstream quickly.

It's the year of the Linux handheld!

@omlet Yes! You can use Sxmo on the desktop and have really nice bluetooth, wifi, etc. menus.

We have a desktop device profile you can use.

Just ordered a steam deck!

#Sxmo 1.12.0 has just been released! My favorite features:

- better support for oneplus 6, poco f1, pinephone pro, and devices with an unknown profile. This should make porting new devices easier.
- modem scripts recover from failure better and handle more edge cases
- three finger gestures

and a lot of minor bug fixes. Thank you to everyone that contributed and tested this release. We couldn't have done it without you!

@djamilaknopf These are beautiful! I will have to buy prints when I move out. Please post when the calendar is in stock. Welcome!!!

@atommac I use openwrt. It is easy to install and use. I think wolfgang made a video about cheap router hardware to use with openwrt.

re: diode zone, zfs
@scanlime Hey! I just want to thank you for maintaining diode.zone. I host my videos about free software there and Ive found the moderation to be great.

I really appreciate diode.zone

re: Mastodon / Twitter meta
@dougall Hey! Thats a really positive way to look at the fediverse and I hope you stay. Thanks for giving this a shot!

@proycon damn, im flying out for my convocation but im more excited to try this out.

@brecht I didnt realize that! I guess ya, Sxmo is a good gateway to contributing to the wider #Sxmo ecosystem. I hope it welcomes others to contribute to other FOSS projects too!

@brecht Thanks! We have a big community of contributors now. Glad you enjoy it!
