We had an introduction to #Debian for newbies at #DebCamp today.
Three people from host country Argentina turned up.
I showed them a demo of debian packaging.
The general flow of packaging is,
1. Get source code
2. Generate packaging files
3. Build the .deb file
4. Make it lintian clean
We need distros to do the packaging because the original developers can't package for all distros.
In #android and #iOS you only need to upload to a single store in most cases.
