Started diagnosing the audio issues I have with recording on Linux. As soon as I disabled the pipewire/pulsaudio service, it all worked swimmingly. Need to dig deeper. I wonder if I can live without the pulse audio layer at all now

Huh. I was hoping to look at (ab)using HTTP compression for crawler mitigation, but are CRIME/BREACH exploits still requiring us to not compress HTTPS?
@jzb yeah same. FB proved the only way I learned about a friend’s suicide, and kept in touch with his family. I loathe it, but there was that.

@cstross @the_lemonaut @qlaras there’s significant overlap but it’s not 100%, IMHO. I don’t think mundane sf insisted on forward-looking, utopian ideals.
@the_lemonaut does Kim Stanley Robinson’s work fit under Solarpunk? I’ve always loved his positive, utopian work
