@linear pdfs are exactly the kind of file I send when it's any official stuff because I know they can't easily be tampered with. Signed work contract ? pdf. Report? PDF. Government stuff? Believe it or not, pdf. I've never had issues so far.

@f00fc7c8 @luana as a distro maintainer vendored libraries are hell imo. Because a) that's a potential security risk b) you have duplication and c) it's not makimg for reproducible builds. I'm glad most devs do not vendor their programs and I'm especially glad Debian has strict policies on embedded code copies.

The complete gtk-rs stack including the #gstreamer crates and #libadwaita has landed in #Debian unstable now. Thanks to jbicha for uploading them. Now I'll focus on getting #Loupe ready for #Debian.

@decathorpe @brainblasted @sophie tbf right now it's built without support for jxl (since that's not stable yet), svg (since we need to enable it from the librsvg source) and without support for exr since that needs some for crates packaged for image. We'll add a notice though so users will know what's up.

Finally got #glycin-loaders, needed for #GNOME's new image viewer #Loupe (written by @sophie and @brainblasted ) to build for #debian. Now to finish the packaging ...

@julianfairfax @awai @schmiddionmobile @devrtz @agx @purism @tbernard pipeline needs all crates under tubefeeder-extractor packaged. that's 8 crates, definitly doable. They need to be published first, too. Flare is a whole different beast. It uses a lot of signal- crates that aren't on crates.io anyway. I poked upstream (signal-api?) about it some time ago but they were reluctant to do so.
