@viennawriter woher bekomme ich so 1 Kintsugiset?

Reminder.

The meme “Corporate needs you to find the differences between this picture and this picture”.
The left picture shows the logo of Trump’s fascist ICE police (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), the right picture is the logo of Frontex (European border and coast guard agency).

The woman answers: “They’re the same picture.”

Fuck, now I want to hike Pacific Crest Trail

@rhonda yeah I would try to avoid that if possible tbh, it's fully fascist over there now.

@jon thanks. Am considering to travel back via San Sebastian - > Bordeaux

Tried out SolveSpace at work yesterday and I was blown away how simple CAD can be. #FreeCAD never clicked for me. Built SolveSpace from source, read the docs for 10 minutes, and it was a breeze to create a 3D model of a connector. Sketch in in 2D, extrude, add constraints, done.
Might write a blogpost about it tbh; really great software.

Does the #Interrail website not have an option to bookmark trains? The app does, but it sucks to not have an overview on desktop.

I'm tired boss

"Pride Month," with the rest of the letters fading away until only the letters "IDE" remain. There are also various harddrives.

Current debian yak 🦬 shave: for support in mmdebstrap I want testcases. To run Hurd tests on Linux I need to build a QEMU VM. I do this with debvm which needs support for Hurd but to get that we need DPKG_ROOT support in openssh (and pam, sudo, ucf). But to implement that we need a systemd-tmpfiles implementation for non-Linux. seedfiles is such an implementation and its maintainer has been extremely helpful with making this happen. Full story: https://lists.debian.org/debian-hurd/2026/06/msg00000.html

I don't know how I hadn't discovered this sooner, but the Gardenhouse project (https://gardenhouse.pinkro.se/) is everything I've ever wanted. The novel systemd utilities reimplemented in a distro (and kernel!) agnostic way and fully stand-alone. Their tmpfiles.d implementation is particularly impressive.

BOOST this MOTH so this INSTANCE gets FEDERATED

pride month becoming "mo th", with a moth in the corner

Q: What do you call a hardware developer who plugged 5 V logic into a 3.3 V UART port?

A: A serial killer.

all the criticism has been said, all the takes been had. the only metaphor i have been finding consistently useful for understanding what is happening with people and "AI" is addiction, and specifically gambling addiction.

Having just read this, I'm saddened that this is still the state of alternative input devices on Linux. And the use of the phrase "accessibility maximalism" is utterly depressing. Of course we should want maximum accessibility. https://nocoffei.com/?p=451

@thezoq2 yo dawg

After enough years in software, you learn that LGTM doesn't actually stand for "Looks Good To Me".

Only the pros know its real meaning:

"Looked. Got tired. Merged."

"The 21 input XOR gate isn't real, it can't hurt you"
The 21 input XOR gate:

A screenshot from a document with a fairly blurry diagram of a 21 input XOR gate, the inputs are labeled A through U and the output is labeled Z
