#interrail trip booked, kinda hyped. Decided to stop over in Madrid and Bordeaux on the way. This also will be my first proper #CrossBorderRail trip.

Korruption
@theVedek ja, finde es auch schade. Mein Opa war auch noch stabiler Genosse and Gewerkschaftler, aber die SPD ist schon lange keine Arbeiterpartei mehr.

Korruption
@theVedek wer hat uns verraten?

@viennawriter woher bekomme ich so 1 Kintsugiset?

Fuck, now I want to hike Pacific Crest Trail

@rhonda yeah I would try to avoid that if possible tbh, it's fully fascist over there now.

@jon thanks. Am considering to travel back via San Sebastian - > Bordeaux

related: Can I book the Irun -> Hendaya ticket online, and is the 5-minute changeover possible to catch the TGV? CC @jon

Tried out SolveSpace at work yesterday and I was blown away how simple CAD can be. #FreeCAD never clicked for me. Built SolveSpace from source, read the docs for 10 minutes, and it was a breeze to create a 3D model of a connector. Sketch in in 2D, extrude, add constraints, done.
Might write a blogpost about it tbh; really great software.

Does the #Interrail website not have an option to bookmark trains? The app does, but it sucks to not have an overview on desktop.

@thezoq2 yo dawg

After enough years in software, you learn that LGTM doesn't actually stand for "Looks Good To Me".

Only the pros know its real meaning:

"Looked. Got tired. Merged."

@rl_dane @navi with any luck Debian forky will ship a usable openRC with fully native services

@Diziet @JeremiahFieldhaven would also run the fork if the Debian package does not get reverted

@sunweaver @Diziet @JeremiahFieldhaven I filed a bug for that today.

@rl_dane yeah....
Though I really like openrc, it is like a mature sysvinit. Once that support has landed and the rough edges are done this should be a very solid experience. The major missing services are ssh, dbus, bluetooth, some dns(avahi?), cron.

@rl_dane @benjamineskola @RootMoose haha, no. It still works, but the default is still systemd and most is catered towards that.

@rl_dane @RootMoose @benjamineskola
you'll want https://salsa.debian.org/helmutg/dpkg-root-demo/-/merge_requests/11 and https://salsa.debian.org/debian/openrc/-/commits/wip/native. This works for a bare sysinit, but I did not test more than that. Note that this is highly experimental and you need to build your own packages.
