Internet weirdo, F/OSS enjoyer, Debian Culter, pursuing a degree by day, spending my nights sleepless :p; feel free to reach out, and have a great day!

This post received a lot of comments and reactions, which is great!
It also proved that my little Raspberry Pi Zero W, powered by NetBSD, could handle the load.
Now - to help me test how much load it can tolerate - please boost and react to this post! 🚀

I keep accidentally replying to internship opportunities with my non government name alias, I wonder if thats what scaring off my employability

joke about obliviousness
oh wow, can't seem to be able to access my mail server today; Hope nothing bad happened to my mail provider like being sanctioned by fascist war mongers, and horse killers! boy that would sure be inconvenient!

@Theorem_Poem completely unrelated but got reminded of this in a lecture I attended today (thanks @rohini for being a speaker and bringing it to my attention) but missing out on that time, it felt so strange connecting with stories of meeting people with such similar experiences over the border, and of other people interacting with them, it feels like its harder now to communicate with people so close, in space and experience, yet so distant

how I deeply wish I could justify getting a POTS line that is so retricted lmfao

I did infact grow up with telephones, I doubt people a few years younger than me even know of their local dialing codes, even still, I do not remember the last household I went into that had a fixed line telephone, much less one on the BSNL network, also off hours free calling sounds so fun to "exploit", where do I sign up to be a dialup ISP!

Wait does sunday free service imply only businesses use telco lines now?
Cropped screenshot from BSNL (Indian teleco and ISP) offering unlimited calling only to other BSNL subscribers, with off hour calls between 10:30 PM to 6 AM, plus Sundays for 159 INR a month! (2 euros)

yes I made a whole bunch of osm commits today after not doing much, nO I am NOT procastinating doing other things, I just realised my city's old city centre was just off the map ;p

~~I am very much procastinating replying to emails I should reply to~~

I'm currently working on a feature in @dino that allows you to send multiple files together in the same message. Multiple photos will then be displayed as a group. The implementation is based on Stateless File Sharing (XEP-0447).

Screenshot of parts of the Dino UI. 4 images have been received and are displayed in a 2x2 grid. The chat input says "Multi-file transfer in Dino (work in progress)

@libreinator some part of it is certainly "LockedIn", people just wanna connect instead of actually contact each other

@rail yeah I learnt that the hardway after waiting a few hours for a binary to compress

Hello Fedi,

recently someone posted a book that detailed how to build #floppies from scratch (including the ferrofluid etc.) I thought I had saved or boosted it, but apparently not. Unfortunately I can't remember the exact title, maybe @nina_kali_nina knows? In general the book was talking about magnetic storage, and was from the 80's (I think). Please boost.
EDIT:
Found it thanks to @vaporeon_ and @gloriouscow , it's "Magnetic Recording, Volume 1".

@soapie woah these are BEAUTIFUL

oh, sorry, The other much larger city also getting a metro system from the same transit agency, 4 weekday services, 6 on the weekend.

Could they have at least made it clock faced scheduled?? (both of them are 6 kilometer operational track FYI)

why even open to revenue service? how desperare was the state chief minister or modi or whoever inaugarated these projects
Another screenshot, this time with colours for frequencies and operating hours of the Indore Metro

randomly looking up schedules for the metro system in my home state's capital ... 30 minute off peak frequencies? Current revenue track takes 23 minutes to complete one trip, 15 minutes "Rush Hour".

This metro system could have been a single tracked light rail ;p

I love Madhya Pradesh, Please get your shit together MP Metro, you know you are fucked when you have worse service frequencies than the @delhi_transport_corporation

re: Transphobic Bill, in-pol
Its amazing to read this in the light of those recent protests, I'd really hope they are worried if another round of protests start up again in Jantar Mantar, I really despise the inaction, the want to ignore, and the unending ignorance, stop pretending to be active care takers and people who give a shit, just go ahead and throw us under the buses you steal from the DTC for the protection of cops!
