@LALegault Didn't he promise him a title like "Minister of efficiency" or something to that effect?

@dosnostalgic I didn't know the exact timings, but always new it was there

Ah yes the times we live in.

"Today is the last day before the election and I want to show you how I feel about you as a yournalist" - https://www.youtube.com/live/M2frAp1vqF8?si=-lG3SMQq2KBpbLTV&t=2781

@LALegault I was there, I was 8 years old when Apartheid ended and 12 years old when Nelson Mandela was elected as president. That era and everything that happened since and before then had huge impacts on all South Africans, which is why it saddens so many of us to see history repeated in so many regions of the world.

@LALegault It's the US. Basically everyone is holding guns to each other heads in an act of mutual self-destruction and mutual shaming. None of them care about human rights its just about enriching themselves in the short term at the cost of literally everyone else.

I didn't mean to say that your former president should be hauling garbage, I meant to say that he should be hauled away AS garbage.

Ah yes I'll just install this little train game to escape a bit from all the horrible things in the world for a bit... first dialog that pops up...

@bagder It's not just you.

@ehashman It's alright I'll slowly chip away at it. I learned from my dogs, they are masters at it!

@ehashman I guess we'll never know!

It's a huge failure that we still need a license in order to own a TV in this country. Less than 20% of households with a TV actually pay the license, and the SABC can probably still sustain themselves without it. For me it's just another annoying bit of annual admin that I could do without. Grrr.

@ed Yeah except that that framework is vague enough to allow for licenses that put severe restrictions on how people could use such models which would at least not make it dfsg-free.

@ed Many models that call themselves open source are also certainly not so.

@dansup @loops Great work!

@eons @JamesWidman @mcc Personally I'm not concerned about my training data. I never liked the idea of twttr DMs and never used them. As for my own feed, it was mostly "Free software = good", ACAB, etc so let the bots feed on that if they want.

@mcc Valid point. In my case, years ago, I used to put my twttr handle on things like slides etc. And I'd rather have a "this isn't available" than have some of my old stuff link to someone elses stuff. Which, will probably eventually happen but hopefully X is properly dead by then.

@mcc I actually think it's better to keep your Twitter account. Make it private. Don't use it, don't engage, don't log on. But squat the username so that others can't use/abuse it.

@dansup If it helps, my dog had this too and it turned out to be nothing, and they surgically removed the lumps in 2018 and there were no after effects since.
