Yeah it's coming along #electronics #KiCad
A schematic in Kicad based around a NE555

@fabos @kaia super cursed either way

@lethalbit @walnut At one point during COVID I was bored and just taught myself the basic of KiCad. It helps a lot if you have an electronics background, but even without you can learn how do it. High-spped applications are more complicated; for starters I can recommend a simple analog design. Then just go from there :)

Tfw both the regional train and the long distance train you want to take are canceled..
Proves me right again by buying Super Sparpreis.

@amberisvibin @disaster2life looks very good otherwise! Just a very minor thing I noticed. Getting good at soldering takes quite some time, even I have solder joints where I am not happy.

@amberisvibin @disaster2life c8 and c9 have little tin though, there should be some tin climb. Great work!

@mirabilos bluca though would say: send it upstream

@mirabilos the best part is kibi sending a two-line change upstream, gating this, and poettering just closed it. Classic.

Fucking #LLM scrapers, now @codeberg seems severely impacted. Everyone championing so called AI can fuck right off. This is hurting the #FreeSoftware community all just to benefit some CEOs selling this snakeoil. Really pissed off right now.

TIL that the VIA rail API (canadian railway) can be easily queried to spit out the station names:

https://www.viarail.ca/sites/all/files/json_server/reservia/files/V_en.json?term=Van

and trips:

https://www.viarail.ca/api/s3/journey-search/calendar?origin=VCVR&destination=TRTO&direction=inbound&begin_date=2025-09-01&end_date=2025-10-31

However, the journey duration and stops are not public.

ich freue mich schon auf eine lesung und kritik der mailingliste, wenn es endlich mal so weit ist.

Seems like I did a very good thing by ditching GitHub. GitHub is now under an AI team under Microsoft and no longer a separate entity. Would also recommend others to ditch GitHub if you care about your work getting scraped by useless LLMs

@whitequark @c0dec0dec0de @tef still possible and pretty much the only reason it's kept around

Holy hell, the new #Halestorm album is such a banger. Especially "Like A Woman Can". Such raw energy; really makes we want to see them live again.

Cake has landed, now I just need to dig up some multiplugs and wait for the ISOs to build and crowd to show up to help test! Happy Trixie day everyone! #debian

People justify continuing to use in all sorts of ways.

"OK, they're owned by Microsoft who has spent decades trying to crush FOSS, but..."

"Yes, they steal code to feed their planet-destroying LLMs, but..."

"Sure, they help ICE enforce fascist policy, but..."

"Yes, they're supporting genocide, but..."

There's no "but" clause that justifies supporting all of that.

Values require sacrifices. This is the price we pay for the world we want.

Don't collaborate.

Breadboards are SO unintuitive :/ the fact that you have to take off the bottom part just to solder your stuff is so annoying ughhh

tfw the kernel module you were supposed to be porting at $work is now already in drivers/staging. Guess the only remaining issue is to package the userspace tools.
